Standing out in the international standard universities segment, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) continuously expands cooperation with prestigious universities in the world. With the aim to improve the quality of training programs as well as expand international exchanges, on the afternoon of May 23, UEF signed a cooperation agreement with Kobe International University - KIU (Japan). Again, UEF reaffirms its position by expanding its network of partners across continents.
Dr. Nguyen Thanh Giang - UEF President - hopes the two universities will plan the next step in terms of training program soon.
UEF and KIU officially become partners, UEF students have more opportunities to study in Japan
After signing the contract, representatives of the two universities had discussions on training programs. Representatives of Kobe International College - Mr. Tetsuya Kobayashi - the President and Ms. Narimarsu Kim Phung - Specialist of the International and Foreign Center introduced the training programs as well as the academic support of the school. Accordingly, all UEF students who have reached the Japanese level N4 and above will have the opportunity to study in Japan at Kobe. Here, they will be able to continue to study Japanese up to level N2, then go on to study the program for third year student. In particular, when studying Japanese here, students will receive a dormitory support and a 30% discount on tuition fees when transferring to university. Kobe, is looking forward to welcoming UEF students to Japan to study in June.

After working with Kobe International University, UEF welcomed and worked with Ibaraki University. The visit from University of Ibaraki comes from the recommendation and confidence of University of Kobe in UEF. Mr. Atsushi Fukuyama - Head of the General Office and Mr. Toshikatsu Yamanaka - Director of the International Communication Center of University of Ibaraki also introduced a few details about the school and offered training cooperation with UEF. UEF also offered the opportunity to collaborate on 2 + 2 articulation programs and especially semester and week of study in Japan and Ibaraki University.
Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc - Director of International Training Institute expressed his intention to have an exchange between students of the two school. Hopefully in the future, UEF will also welcome and support the international semester for students from Kobe International University and Ibaraki University.

Right after the meeting, Japanese Language majors at UEF met and had direct conversations with representatives of the two schools to have better understanding of the articulation program in Japan. This is also a chance for UEF students to interact with native speakers and put questions to representatives of Kobe and Ibaraki.
